Lovely Grub began the change in season catering on location among the vibrant autumn colours of Twizel and the stunning vistas of Lake Ruataniwha.

From rowing, we moved on to cater for the "Bashers" in the vibrant seaside town of Akaroa with the mischievious team from the Variety Bash 2013 -The Children's Charity Tour. Then we were off to the Lincoln Events Centre where the Halswell Lions Club hosted the Canterbury District Lions Convention 2013.

Up a notch to the corporate world, Lovely Grub served for Dow Agro Science for three days in their stunning white marquee for invited clients at the bustling South Island Field Days. Then we headed over to the tranquil Diamondway Buddhist Centre in suburban Linwood for a luncheon and three evening meals.

Back to the Lincoln Events Centre and Lovely Grub catered for a weekend of reminiscing with the Craw Family Reunion. At the end of this weekend we packed out our Lovely Grub chiller trailer for a 3 day field trip to Kaikoura with 37 Canterbury University students .

Southern RPC Rowing

  • Four regional 4 day regattas - Lovely Grub supplied all food requirements including breakfast, lunch and dinner for 27 high performance rowers.
  • One 12 day camp and National Regatta for 45 rowers -We provided evening meals at the National regatta for 27 Tauranga Rowing members and 48 Central High performance rowers. The final night dinner was on location at the lake for 112 people in 3 different places
  • Lovely Grub's staff and food gave a sense of home away from home for these extremely hard working rowers
  • We have worked very hard to produce tailored menus with high carbohydrate low fat options for maximum energy extraction from the rowers 

Variety Bash Childrens Charity 2013

  • Dinner and breakfast for "160 bashers" 
  • We worked around a very entertaining prize giving and cat walk show.
  • A full cooked  breakfast was served in a very short time to allow the travelling road show time to generate more money for their very worthy charity
  • Lovely Grub put the two meals together after after only 2 phone calls from the organisers in Auckland

Canterbury Lions Convention 2013

  • Held at Lincoln Events Centre and Lamb and Hayward Chapel Wairakei Road
  • 160 guests
  • Startied with nibbles and a supper on Friday night. 
  • Followed by morning tea, a bagged lunch, and a formal dinner on Saturday night.
  • Sunday saw us change venue to Lamb and Hayward Chapel for a church service followed by a light luncheon
  • Lovely Grub worked with the Lions  management team in the timing of their function and assisted with disabled guests
  • Lovely Grub supplied 6 different food types to suit each specific function

Dow Agro Science

  • Lovely Grub served six hundred plus guests with ploughman's lunches for three days. Morning and afternoon teas with espresso coffee with barrister on hand all day. Cold fruit punch on hot days as well as serving 500 cold smoked salmon kebabs.Special diets were a major part of our corporate offering. Our viberant  floral centerpieces added vitality
  • The standard of our coffee was attracting interest from all over the ground
  • We provided high service levels and flexibility to deal with our clients unknown guest numbers
  • Our client had business prospects personally invited and was able to conduct business with them in an uninterrupted environment

Daimond Way Buddist

  • Lovely Grub provided one lunch and three evening meals to a variety of International guests
  • Our role involved greeting guests from all over the world and making them feel at home
  • Lovely Grub had to cater for many different special dietary requirements
  • 70 guests on a residential section provided us with a good challenge

Craw Reunion

  • Lovely Grub was working closely with family members to accommodate a variety of issues including mobility and ease of access around buffet tables.
  • Top priority was given to placing of people so they could mingle and eat with ease and comfort.
  • Lovely Grub was responsible for the bar licence having two bar managers on duty at all times.
  • Lovely Grub provided a cocktail party with finger food for 50 in the early evening, this was followed later by a hot beef or ham sandwich with a variety of condiments which proved to be very popular.
  • At the same time in another room was platters of fruits and mixed sweets to go with tea and coffee
  • On the last day we provided a finger food luncheon for a new set of relatives giving one and all a chance to get closer and in many cases catch up with people from far away places.

Canterbury University Biological Science Field Trips

  • Lovely Grubs chiller trailer was used by Canterbury University allowing 37 student to take all their food requirements out into the field.  We provided this entirely allowing them the do further studies.
  • All food was pre prepped
  • Packaged for simple usage
  • Freed up tutors and students to go about daily learning
  • A specific requirement was home made desserts etc.
  • Special dietary requirements were taken care of
  • Trailer was delivered to site fully packed and picked up upon their return
