Fun, food and music - all Labour Weekend long

This trip to Wellyfest was our first trip up past Kaikoura since the road has reopened after the earthquake. Read on and see some more photos of the musicians.

The shorter travelling time was much appreciated but it was still five hours in the truck for two staff and a few more riding on the ferry to Wellington. Three more staff flew up and more were hired at Wainuiomata. - we often do this when catering on location.

Once our kitchen rig was set up for the Wellyfest Folk Music Festival at the Brookfield Scout Camp, and we were catering in the Balladeer tent, the real fun part was listening to live music 12 hours a day and gaining huge satisfaction along with 450 festival goers.

Lovely Grub provided various catering services including the liquor licence, required to serve the wine and Garage Project Beers. We had an extensive range of shop food available from just after eight in the morning until ten at night. Evening meals and breakfasts were catered for as well. And, a folk music festival would not be viable without the expresso coffee machine!

This year is the 12th year Lovely Grub has made the trek to Wainuiomata to cater for the needs of this festival. Congratulations to the committee for running such a great weekend.
